STANDARDS AND RULES
1. Exhibit spaces
measure 11’ x 11’.
Spaces may not be
shared. Each artist
will be allowed
only one space
per entry (double
spaces not granted
due to limited
space.)
2. All participants
must provide their
own display, sturdy
enough to withstand
crowds,
winds,
and weather
conditions.
3. Each artist is
responsible for
their own booth
preparation.
4. All works of art
must be original
work. Paintings
reproduced from
works of the
masters,
from
advertisements and
from widely
circulated
photographs are not
considered original
works of art
and may not be
displayed or sold.
All work must be
attributable solely
to the
displaying
artists.
5. Objects
assembled from
commercially sold
kits are not
allowed.
6. Works exhibited
must include works
attributable in
style and quality to
those viewed by
the
Selection
Jury. Sanibel-Captiva
Rotary reserves the
right to remove any
exhibitor
whose works
differ significantly
from their slides.
7. Dealers or
agents may not stand
in proxy for
artists.( ID will
be required at
“Check-in & out “)
8. Judging will
begin Sat., Feb.14,
2009 at 10:00 A.M.
Artists must be with
their display
during
judging. Artists
must show their work
both days in order
to be eligible for
an award.
9. Artists must
exhibit during the
scheduled show
hours. Leaving
early automatically
forfeits
eligibility to
future shows.
10. Ribbons from
other shows may not
be displayed.
11. Ribbons will be
presented
immediately after
judging is
completed.
12.
An
application is a
commitment to show
and no refunds will
be made for
cancellation except
for documented
illness received up
to 30 days from show
date.
13. No pets
belonging to
exhibitors are
permitted on show
grounds.
14. No commissions
will be taken on any
sales. Artists are
responsible for
their FL sales tax.
15. The Fair is a
family-oriented
outdoor show for
spectators of all
ages. Work
exhibited must be
in keeping
with this
atmosphere. In
order to insure that
all rules are being
complied with, all
displays will
be viewed by the
Viewing Committee
throughout the show
time. The
Viewing
Committee has
sole discretion to
require removal of
work(s) which
violates any of the
rules.
Violations may
result in the artist
being asked to
remove their exhibit
from the show.
16. Further rules
and instructions
will be mailed upon
acceptance.
17. The Rotary Club
has security on site
day and night but
will not be
responsible for
damage,
theft, or loss
of an individual’s
material.
18.
Artist may
demonstrate their
medium within their
booth.
19.
If an artist’s
display breaks or
damages another
artist’s work,
they’re responsible
for paying for the
damage in cash.
20.
Space is limited in
our fairground area;
no vehicle over 25’
or trailer over 20’
will be allowed into
the set-up area. |
